Attica – Mrs. Clara Mary (Chapman) Cronkhite, 87 of Rt 1, Attica, died unexpectedly in her home at 1 a.m. Tuesday.  Mrs. Cronkhite, a native of Warren County had lived in her Fountain County home since 1919. She was married in 1903 to Hosea C. Cronkhite who died in 1951. She was a member of the Literary Club, Shawnee Home Extension Club and Fountain Warren Garden Club. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Edwin Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.  

Source: Same – “Funeral Notices” – Cronkhite, Mrs. Clara Mary – Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Roemer Funeral Chapel, Attica.  Services there at 2 p.m. Thursday.  Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Two granddaughters survive.  A twin brother preceded her in death.
